Breathing
Poor breathing habits makes it harder for your body to deal with stressful situations. Learn to be aware of your breathing and take long, slow, deep breaths. This helps in quieting the mind and relaxing the body.
Position yourself by either sitting up straight or by lying on your back with one hand on your abdomen and the other on your chest. Aim for diaphragmatic breathing (making your abdomen rise higher than the chest when inhaling). Focus on the sound and feeling of breathing.
