Talk It Out
Talking to someone or to a group of people who share a similar background is a healthy way to express your concerns and relieve stress. If you are looking for a support group, the following organizations are groups geared specifically for teen mothers:
FRISTERS
949-675-3935
Generation Her
626-825-7874
Other sources to confide in are family & friends, a trusted teacher, school counselor, or the school nurse. Surround yourself with positive, happy people and decrease your time with those who stress you out. Problems are not fixed when you bottle up your feelings.
In addition to this, there are hotlines available if talking to someone face-to-face is uncomfortable. The following hotlines are available if you are suffering from extreme stress or anxiety and feel as though you need someone to talk to.
